The Roston Inn (known locally as 'The Shant') is at the junction of Mill Lane and Lid Lane in the hamlet of Roston in the parish of Norbury with Roston. The inn, which has recently undergone a refurbishment, has an unspoilt bar boasting a large log burner, a handsome dining room, an elegant outdoor drinking area and a modest camping and caravan site.

Full of excellent cask conditioned beers, new world wines, British & continental Lagers and warm hospitality, The Roston Inn is still the pub it always should have been. A short distance from Ashbourne, modern life seems a lifetime away as soon as you step through the doors.

Had a wonderful afternoon/evening today and didn't want to leave! Delicious, home-cooked food, excellent quality. And great staff. Such a warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend the roast dinners. Looking forward to visiting again!

What can I say. This place was amazing from start to finish. The landlady was absolutely lovely infact all the staff were. We stayed on Friday evening as we were going to Alton Towers on Saturday. When we arrived all the locals were so welcoming. The food was 10/10. It was so good that we went back again on Saturday evening. Thank you so much. We will see you again soon! Marc and Jane x

Great pub. We used the campsite. They don't do food Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but they have a list of take aways that deliver to the pub. Had a lovely Chinese whilst drinking in the pub. The camping is basic with electric and 24 hour access to toilet and shower. Very friendly and highly recommended. We will use it again when we are next in the area .
