The Rose & Crown is a popular free house pub situated in the beautiful area of Bentfield Green in Stansted Mountfitchet. With a bar area where you can relax in front of a wood-burning stove on chilly nights, a cosy snug if you’d like a more romantic atmosphere, or joining in the chatter at the main bar; you will always receive a warm welcome. There's ample parking and a newly designed garden area with plenty of undercover seating, kids play area, as well as heated areas on chilly evenings. We also have a great private dining area which you can book for parties or more intimate occasions. This room can seat up to 12 people, just contact us for availability, and dogs are of course, always welcome!.

Wow amazing quality of Sunday Lunch. Great Vegan choice. So much to eat, we just couldn’t manage it all. We eat out a lot, and when we say this was 11/10 we mean it :)
Ever since my first time with family, we have come to rose and crown each Sunday with delight and joy to our faces. The staff are extremely attentive and welcoming to their customers and even let us listen to the jukebox. The food is absolutely delicious, with such filling portion and bang for your buck. If you ever visit Stansted, I highly recommend this place. Overall our family will keep returning here ✨✨
This is my first visit as it was highly recommended by the family! We had Sunday Roast (which you have three options by the way; plenty of veg and a gravy on the side to top up what's on your plate) and the mind-blowing (I say this coz look at the portion!) BBQ ribs. Honestly, the food was amazing! You can tell how fresh the ingredients were. Everything is also reasonably priced so enjoy to your heart's content! Love the environment. Massive garden space for when the weather brightens up. Jukebox which was in perfect condition. Spotless! Did I ever mention how the ladies can make you feel so welcome the moment you open those doors? Perfect food (hats off to the chef), perfect service and, perfect environment! Guess I'll be coming back again!
We had a great time. The blonde woman, probably the owner (I didn’t asked her name), was really nice and welcoming. Me and my wife had a great time and the best nachos ever. Portions are quite big and food is delicious. We’ll be back very soon.
