Small friendly bar, we went for the live music bur as soon as he began singing other patrons felt the need to shout over him to continue their conversations. I did not find it a place to enjoy live music .
Great place, especially as one nearby pub seem to be trading on their name only. Yeah, after finally finding this "Rose&Crown"(as it's a little hidden), it'll be the only pub I will spend my money in next time I come back here!
Great place for a beer (really liked the ‘Slumbering Monk’) and to enjoy the history on the walls. Nice fish and chips. Excellent friendly service.
Spent £10 on a ham and piccalilli sandwich: cheap supermarket ham and granary bread and salad which had parts which had gone off. It's a nice pub but they need to either reduce their prices to reflect the quality of what they are serving, or look at the quality of what they serve for what they're charging, especially as on their doorstep there are a lot of established places serving better quality food for less.
