It is one of our locals for drinks in Old town and we've been here a few times for food. Today was the first time we've come for a roast and sadly to us it was a disappointment. Service: the waiters were friendly but almost impossible to catch. There was a general sense of chaos, especially when it came to the order of drinks. One of us ordered a lemonade and asked to skip the ice - was given half of glass of it. The other one had to ask for his pint of ale 3 times and it took around 50 minutes to get there. The roast itself: The potatoes and Yorkshire were quite dry, the meat cold and spare, with barely any gravy. Overall the roast left a strong sense of disappointment on the palate. The room: we were in the dining area, it was very well lit, it wasn't too loud and the furniture was very comfy. I'd recommend choosing the dining room for anyone who reserves as it's much less chaotic than downstairs . Overall: it's a nice local for drinks (if you're not drinking lemonade 😁), but I can't recommend it for food.
A nice hybrid venue that is part-pub and part-restaurant. The food was delicious and beat my expectations going in. The flat iron steak was good really well and all the starters were delicious.
We had a very good experience in this restaurant, with a pleasant atmosphere and service from very professional and friendly staff. About the food I must say that everything was prepared with elegance, detail and cleanliness, but the flavors did not excite. I really appreciate the cooking effort but I lacked pleasure on the palate. I come from Spain and our gastronomy is excellent.

I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5 for food. Reason: my pork belly roast was great, the turkey roast was excellent too. My friend’s lamb roast was not sadly - the lamb tasted more of a mutton rather than a lamb. One thing to know about a mutton - the taste is not to everyone’s pallet! The starters were tasty. The favourite was the scotch egg!
