A very nice converted mill with the sluice and working mechanism still visible behind glass. Ample parking and quiet garden area make this an ideal Spring or Summer destination... which is maybe why it was rather quiet on a midweek lunch stop in January. That said, food and service were top class.
What a gem of a place. I hadn’t been here for years so I thought I’d come for lunch with my wife and our dog. The atmosphere was fantastic : friendly and welcoming - whoever trains and selects the staff clearly know what to look for in excellent front of house skills. The food was also exceptional and we will most definitely be coming back in January (with our unopened golden ticket!). Thank you to everyone for putting on such a wonderful Sunday Lunch.
The roast dinner we both had was delicious, all cooked perfectly. Pudding was so good too. The waitress who served us was a lovely sweet girl and her timing was perfect. We recommend this place with 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Really nice place with great staff. No local beers though - apart from Butcombe who own the place I think - which is such a pity as some very good local micro breweries nearby .... closer the Butcombe for sure. Lunchtime food was good but at the upper range of affordability for us 2 pensioners. Dog friendly and genuinely so. Overall a very good experience which we'd like to repeat one day.
Lovely large old pub on the river with a big car park. Interior looks great and the staff are very welcoming. We didn't eat but the drinks selection was good and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. I'll amend to 5 stars when we go back and eat as the menu looked good!
