Paul and Emma Ainsworth relaunched The Mariners pub in Rock, Cornwall in May 2019. The 130-cover local, which looks over Cornwall’s Camel Estuary, is back open with a new menu and interiors to match. As ever, Sharp’s Brewery lead on the beer offering!
The Mariners is open Monday to Saturday offering our all-day menu. Food is served across both floors, with both areas available to book. Sunday’s we offer our Sunday lunch menu from 11.45am-5pm and then back to our full menu from 6pm – 9pm. The menus, designed by Paul and head chef Joe Rozier focus on British classics while championing the best of local produce.

Went for lunch last week...had the winter's menu....absolutely delicious😋😋!!!!!.and very good value. The staff on that day were professional,friendly,and attentive, without being intrusive😊. Dog friendly👍... Highly recommended for a relaxing, food heaven experience, and lovely views.
Another good meal at The Mariners (only our second visit, although we did pop in for a drink on a different day and the expresso martini was very good!). Lunch was delightful and the service was good. Can’t wait to visit again in the future.

We had the most incredible Sunday lunch at the Mariners. A warm welcome when we stepped through the door left us thinking we were in for great service and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. We had squid starter and the buttermilk chicken which were all delicious. For main 3 of us had the Sunday roast which was by far the best roast we have eaten out EVER, every little piece on the plate done incredibly well. Full of flavour and a delight to eat. Our son had the fish and chips which he couldn’t finish as it was so huge! Delicious again. Dessert rounded off a standout meal. The raspberry steamed brown butter sponge and custard was like a tasty hug in a bowl. Yummy!! Paired with great cocktails, cracking pints and fantastic service it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We were so impressed we booked a return visit for next time we are down before we’d even left the pub! Well done all.
Dog friendly pub but best to book as always seems very busy. Great selection of Sharp's brewery products. Great staff & service. Food was lovely & reasonably priced. Great views from the restaurant & we were on the lower level due to having a dog. Would definitely recommend but book first! There was room outside for a drink also.

Local friendly sports and social club. Regularly shows the best of sport from BT and Sky on two large flat screen TVs. Low cost membership, available immediately, with discounts on drinks. Non members, families and dogs very welcome.
