The Robin Hood is located on Shripney Road a leafy residential street in the upmarket village of Shripney. This tiny corner of West Sussex grew out of a 13th century hamlet and just a minute’s walk from the pub you will find ancient thatched cottages hidden down country lanes. The pub itself is a big brick building with heated outdoor patios for al fresco drinks in summertime and a trio of open log fires inside for cosy winter gatherings. Mismatched wooden furniture and old photos of the pub including snaps of horses and carriages waiting outside the doors and of the pig farm that was once next door lend the interior plenty of charm and character.
Went for breakfast on a quiet Sunday morning. The restaurant was empty. Waitresses excellent and apologised profusely as our 2 dishes took an hour to come, and the brioche toast with berries was burnt underneath making it mostly inedible. The waitress was so apologetic, and although we could not get a refund, she offered us another booking with breakfast on the house which was greatly appreciated and we will be returning. If it was not for the waitresses impeccable service we would have made a complaint.
What an amazing experience. brilliant Roast Dinner and the next night a tasty steak pie. Excellent food at great prices. Jamie who served us was just so attentive, even though they were busy, his customer care was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for him, a real gem. All the staff are so nice, and we also had two lovely breakfast, also with great friendly service from the ladies who served us. We will be returning again soon, advising friends to also
An absolutely lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. The staff (especially the manager) go above and beyond to make sure you have the best dining experience. Also made breakfast with Santa extra special for us (check their Facebook page for full story)
Delicious food - big portions for a great price! Stuff very friendly but especially Jamie who looked after us and made sure we were well looked after. Highly recommend this place!
We had the best dinner at the Robin Hood restaurant. The staff were super accommodating to our every need, they couldn't do enough for us. The menu is wonderful and top quality! Special thank you to Jamie who gave us an outstanding service, we were very impressed. We are definitely coming back to the Robin Hood and recommending it to our friends and family!
