The staff are very friendly and I like that in a pub l have never had any problems l just go in for a few drinks and they are always polite
The macaroni was on special and it was actually really nice. I prefer going to the right side of the pub, usually just a few locals and it's nice and quiet. Can get a few games of pool and there's always some dogs in to clap 😊
Despite a large sign indicating a rear car park, access is blocked off. We had to reverse out on to a busy road and find on-street parking. Talking to some friendly locals, they indicated that the car park has been shut for years. Why does the sign remain? Service was a little slow as there appeared to be only one person front of house, looking after both the public and lounge bars. The food was good and enjoyed by all in our group.
First class breakfast and excellent lunch time menu prices are great value chef does a wonderful job in the background
As a French guy it was the first pub I ever experienced, and it was a great place ! Friendly staff and people (they offered us pounds for the pool and even for the jukebox, two things we usually don’t have in french bars). That was a pretty good looking place too and the drinks were not too expensive.
