Great for New Year. Excellent price. Bar is noisy, next to the road. Big pub lounge. Friendly staff. Check in at the bar.
Room (34) was a good size and comfortable beds. Parking round back and friendly and helpful staff/owner. Central location plentiful pubs/shops/food outlets etc. Cleanliness OK on our visit but more attention to things like switches etc would be an improvement. Decor/furniture basic & dated but don't think can complain given prices/location. We thought heating could be better. Room was cold . Overall cheap and cheerful but treat it as a one night stopover or working, not for a romantic break lol.
Handy place for the centre of town. Looked like a nice bar that is part of the guesthouse. Nice friendly owners on arrival. The room needed a bit of a clean, there were some big cobwebs and spiders on the window frames, corners of bedroom and bathroom which we had to sort before our daughter would settle
You get what you pay for…would not recommend due to general cleanliness of the place. If you must stay here, I may suggest to avoid karaoke nights (unless this is your thing), which go on at high noise levels until almost 3am.
I arrived at The Roadhouse not knowing what to expect but the staff is so friendly and attentive that they really make a difference. The rooms are not new but fully functional and quite spacious for UK standards. It's true that there is a pub downstairs but they close at 11 so the noise wasn't really a problem. I especially want to thank Sam at the reception who was great at accommodating my bike for the night. Breakfast is only 4£ but cash only which was an issue for me.
