The gig was awesome but the venue is falling apart and the toilets are disgusting. Drinks were expensive but barely drinkable. Can't believe some big bands actually play here
The location is very good Close to many bars for pre drinks including a very pleasant weather spoons. The lay out inside is great, many split levels and a massive balcony so the stage and performers are always visible. However. The venues toilets were over flowing from very early on in the evening. Don't whare anything expensive on you feet they will get destroyed. The bar had only one beer (Corona) and a cider on draft and they both ran out very early in the evening, so bottle beer at nearly £6 a go was the only option. If you can catch you favorite band else where, do it, not here.
Visited here in June to see The Chameleons and had informed them of my access needs beforehand. We required two seats - one for myself and one for my essential companion/carer. From the moment we entered everything was under control and we were guided up some stairs to the balcony where stools had been reserved for those of us who could not stand for a whole gig. No issues with my carer getting in with me and the view from the balcony was amazing. A great experience from start to finish and the band blew me away (again). I loved the intimacy and atmosphere of the venue too. I wouldn't hesitate, as an ambulant disabled person, to attend here again for a gig. Bravo!
Accessibility staff was rude and had disabled seating up lots of stairs which isn't good for certain disabilities. Boyce Avenue were amazing though.
Went to Riverside Newcastle for the Boyce Avenue concert. It’s a small hall but that’s what I liked about it. It wasn’t overcrowded. We got to stand at the front row so watched the concert from up close. It’s located at a beautiful place. You can view the bridges or just sit beside the Tyne river and enjoy the view.
