Great friendly pub really enjoyed a pint here friendly staff shame no food now but really worth a visit
Restaurant not opened as yet, but a fish and chip van parks outside on Tuesday night, also the outdoor oven is on, Thursday and starting next week he will be there Thursday Friday and Sat, food delicious
Today you need to be on top of your game to survive in business. Why have signs saying serving food all day if you don't. If it had been my business embarrassment would have made me at least offer to make a sandwich as there was only ONE other customer. Good luck for the future.
Came here for Sunday lunch whilst on our canal boat holiday. Food was delicious and the restaurant area was well spaced out and pleasant to eat in. Ignore the amount of veg on my plate, my partner doesn't like it so I get his portion!
My last 2020 & 21 CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry completed successfully, and two well kept pints (Proper Job, and the excellent Marstons Pedigree). Friendly and convivial landlord, Simon, (see photo). Well worth the trip. Good walking location being near the Ashby Canal, with a bus stop very close by linking to Atherstone.
