5 star, would give more. We frequented the rising sun a couple of weeks ago for a work convention get together. Cracking old school traditional pub (not many left) beer and atmosphere fantastic. Lovely set of bar staff, easy to get served. We’re planning on going back again in for the next convention in Feb. Didn’t have food so have left blank.
From the outside it always looks quiet. Getting in there it certainly wasn't. Great atmosphere. Quality cask ale. Will need to nip back.
Had the cheese & broccoli soup absolutely amazing... staff so helpful Robyn Carl and James...Strongbow bang on definitely recommend
Sat on Lincoln Square with Abraham Lincoln doomed to forever stare longingly at The Rising Sun. Been many times over the last 48 years. Had its ups and downs but generally sells good real ale. Nice pint of Osset Silver King. Pint of Estrella Damm. £10.10 for the round. Lots of hand pumps with three serving cider.
