Having navigated a few hurdles including a global pandemic, we're over the moon to throw our doors open, and once again welcome the patient folks of West Kirby and Wirral. Our hope is for the Ring O'Bells to become that great proper pub that everyone wishes they had on their doorstep, top-notch beer, quality wines, freshly made tasty food and some friendly familiar faces on both sides of the bar.
I last went to this pub 10 years ago and you wouldn't recognise it now. Someone has spent a lot of time and money extending and renovating it and done a very good job. It's huge with a massive car park. On the downside we waited 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Also had a large lump of fat in my steak baguette. Other than that it's a very beautifully designed pub and a nice place to spend an afternoon in.
Fantastic what they have done to this pub. We have been 3 times just to have a drink & starter as I personally didn't like the menu & £8.95 for a starter is a bit steep . Only negative is the millions they have spent, each time we've noticed a VERY strong smell of fish. Kitchen extractor needs checking. They deserve success just hope Im being to pickeyb
Loved the atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was also lovely.
We had a lovely meal. Great food and atmosphere but when oh when will pub refitters/designer's learn that customers do not want to climb the stairs from use the toilet. We were seated very close to the disabled loo and it was in constant use. For such a large pub this seems crazy. Big mistake in my opinion
We had such a lovely meal yesterday. I remember the pub from the '70's and in spite of the extension refurbishment they have managed to recapture the old atmosphere; sadly lacking in recent years. My friend noticed the individually rescoured period chairs; lots of wonderful touches. The food was delicious, we had the Xmas dinner, the service was excellent. So glad to have this old place, back in business ☺️👍
