Lovely place, rooms recently redecorated. Very clean. GREAT shower!!! The staff are lovely and laid back. It's a very welcoming environment. It feels like you're staying at a friend's house.
Great little pub. Aptly named as it's next door to the Minster. As I walked in, I heard "bells were ringing out" from Fairytale of New York, while bells at the Minster were in full peal, a triple bell experience! These 2 beers were available for anyone liking their beer dark and sweet. Other beers included Staropramen. No food on offer except crisps etc.
Perhaps the smelliest toilets that I’ve walked past… and unfortunately into 😂 Also it doesn’t seem very well organised, and I’ve been waiting to be served for too long at times, even when I’m one of only two people there 😂
Lovely pub in the shadow of Halifax minster. Friendly and helpful staff with a good range of beers available. Food is served promptly and plentiful.
Wonderful pub situated at the bottom of the hill, while entering into Halifax from Beacon Hill or Shibden hill hike. You can also grab delicious food on Sundays, they serve from 12 to 5 PM. We weren't lucky, but it certainly smelled delicious. Great selection of beers on tap, family friendly and dog friendly. Has a great outdoor sitting available. Just a couple hundred meters away from Halifax train station.
