Comfortable rooms although a bit dated. Friendly check in staff, and breakfast was good. Decent option for a couple of days if staying in the area.
We had pre-booked our Christmas party 🥳 for the 15th of December. Bar prices more or less what is expected. High! Serving so many people with different meals, etc, requires a lot of organising. To their credit, they did a good job! Unfortunately, I can not say the same for the food. Which, to be frank, is pretty awful. All prepackaged frozen/defrosted( judging by its appearance ) with very little appeal visually, taste wise, bland! The DJ did a good job keeping the music flowing. I accept the Christmas party market is more or less the same at most hotels? However, a little more thought about the food presentation will not go amiss!
Attended a wedding here, staff were excellent. The dining room was great for the lunch and evening party. The aircon was a god send on one of the hottest days of the year, and the catering was on point.
We had an afternoon tea at Reigate Manor, a gift from a relative. The staff were very nice and attentive. But if you wanted to sit outside you were facing a car park, as you were in the lounge. The decor and colour scheme looked a bit dated. I think they need to employ a decent interior designer. The sandwiches were rather thick for an afternoon tea, and a bit basic. Regarding the cakes, I don't think that baking was one of the chef's strengths. But as I stated earlier, the staff were lovely and made you feel very welcome.
Just one night and didn't stop for dinner or breakfast. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Friendly bar staff and a reasonable rate when booked direct. Lots of parking and easy walking distance to the station and town centre.
