About us

We decided we wanted to open the pub/restaurant back in December 2022. Becky had previously managed in the industry for 2 years whilst Simon had spent several years as a leadership development coach and consultant.

We both have a passion for people and great food, so concluded that opening a pub/restaurant would be the ideal fit to satisfy our needs and goals.



We are keen on providing an environment that serves good food, good drink, and with good company.



The menu that the chefs have produced reflects our flexibility and respect for all our customers.

We are keen to serve traditional classics whilst providing our chefs the opportunity to use their creative skills when producing daily specials for all.



We want to ensure that we understand our customers and can demonstrate our loyalty as we evolve, “We have listened to feedback and feel like we have a good understanding of what is important to customers.”

Loyalty, integrity, and respect for others are values we both feel will underpin our success with both staff and customers.



Our restaurant has a welcoming feel to it, as well as a few exciting new additions to the bar and restaurant areas, we still have our oak beams, stone walls, and a traditional oak floor really sets the tone for what we want to look like and how we want our customers to feel.

It is pitched perfectly on the edge of the Peak District and within a stone’s throw from

Leek and the Staffordshire Moorlands.

It was the first time visiting this very nice pub /restaurant and it won't be the last.the food and staff were awesome. Very reasonable prices too.a good selection of beers and wines.

Me and my partner came here after it being recommended by our Airbnb host. It did NOT disappoint, this was the best pub meal I've had yet!! Firstly, the pub is nice and open, plenty of seating and decorated wonderfully. It was lovely and warm inside and we were greeted with a smile! Even the bathroom was decorated nicely. Me and my partner both went for 3 courses. All portions were generous, hot and satisfying. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of it. We had prawn and brie starters, (huge) steak and chicken Stilton mains and ice cream for dessert. The homemade Stilton sauce, I must say, was fantastic in particular! Bonus points for the ice cream being locally sourced. We will definitely be finding an excuse to come here again when we can, big thanks to the staff for their wonderful and friendly service! 😋❤️

1st visit & having read the reviews were looking forward to Sunday lunch. We were a group of 8 & felt very comfortable on a large round table set in an alcove. Staff greeted us & most helpful, gave us time to order & served drinks at the table. The food was excellent, piping hot & delicious choices. Seem we hit a change over of staff so did loose their way a little with sweets, additional drinks & finally obtaining the bill, but overall a great experience, could recommend & would definitely use again. Thanks guys loved it.

We've been here a few times in the past, and the food is always so tasty. I'm on a mission to try more and more stuff every time we go. The chicken Stilton and the cheese and leek bake are definitely my favourite foods here. Both are so amazing and just melt in your mouth.

Wow, What a find, already booked for tomorrow too. Superb food, some of the best I've eaten out this year. Prawn Thermador was amazing as a starter, absolutely delicious. Good service in a lovely environment with exceptional food, whats not to like. 😋 Highly recommend 👌
