Stone built pub in the centre of Bramham village with a traditional public bar and split level lounge.
All closed, door locked and lights off on a Sunday bank holiday weekend. No signs of life and no-one picking up the phone. Totally against the opening hours printed and stuck to the door. If you're closed down either temporarily or permanently do the decency of telling people and avoid wasting their time.
No card payment, no phones, no taking pics, no emailing, no swearing, children only tolerated if tied to their chair and are seen and not heard. Never, ever been out for a meal with sooooo many rules and breaking them would result in you being barred. No hospitality. Food was ok though.
Never been to a pub with so many "rules"! No phones or electronic devices allowed. Absolutely no swearing tolerated and kids have to remain in their seats just to name a few "zero tolerance" statements! They dont take card payments AT ALL, despite there being only one small sign in the entire pub and not mentioned at all at ordering food or drinks. How you could know this if you booked a table as we did and sat at it the entire time. Very lucky that between us we had enough change to make the bill. Not to mention the waitress/barmaid was grumpy and rude, and the open fire wasnt lit despite being a cold autumnal day. Will not be returning.
Do NOT book a table with these unfriendly, unprofessional, village idiots! As per other 1 star non local reviewers we booked in advance, were told to arrive at 7 as they stopped making food at 7:45 yet when we arrived were told that they had stopped making food. We were given no apology and stared at until we left. Once again, do not book a table or visit this establiahment.
Lovely little pub, only cane across it as we broke down on the a1 but glad we did! Amazing beers/ales and stouts at a very very good price, didn't manage to make the food however the pork pies and sausage rolls hit the spot! Hope we break down there again
