About us

Nestled on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds; Raithby sits between Horncastle and Skegness, close to the market town of Spilsby. At the heart of Raithby stands The Red Lion Inn, a Grade II listed public house, as it has in one form or another since the 18th Century.
Today The Red Lion Inn is a hub for the community. A pub and kitchen that serves fresh locally sourced food that is prepared in house and served alongside real ales and wine. We pride ourselves on great service in relaxed and friendly surroundings. We are writing the next chapter in the history of The Red Lion Inn. Come and see !.

My friend lives nearby and we booked lunch here when his pub was closed. He had never visited the pub before but he intends making eating here a regular event. He has mobility problems and the staff could not be more helpful in getting us in and to a convenient table with chairs with arms he can use to help get in and out of the seat. The menu is fantastic, a huge range of options and the food was excellent. As well as being helpful, all the staff were very pleasant and eating here was a joy. We ended up spending several hours eating and talking at our table. We even got to witness Dan playing happy birthday on his violin to another table. Cannot recommend the pub too highly.

Great dog friendly pub and restaurant with very friendly staff. And not forgetting Hockney, the owners pooch, who is adorable! The pub was busy on both occasions we visited. We both had their burgers, which were very tasty. Great selection of Gins. And on draught, there was Batemans XB and Ferry Ales Brewery, Intruder and Spirit of Jane. Please note that you need to book a table!!

We had a really nice visit yesterday with our two dogs for lunch. The ladies on the bar were so lovely, they made all of us feel really welcome. The food was beautiful we even had dessert which was super yummy! So nice to see so many options including vegan and gluten free. 100% recommend visiting this little gem when your in the area. Thank you for having us.

Very lovely little place cut above the normal pub fair, attentive staff good choice of beers and menus will definitely go back . Well went back tonight , must say we’re a little disappointed, music was too loud and not setting the right mood , flys were a nightmare, food was good although my pie promised so much and failed to deliver , not enough filling , we ordered some wine never got it , so left early and sorted out selfs out with afters see photo , we will give it a further go , hoping for better next time ….might have been an off night ,,,🥹
