Landlord was very rude and standoffish. Seemed offended that we wanted to order lunch. Avoid like the plague.
Have been to the pub twice first visit was just for drinks, and the second time for food and drinks. Very warm welcome on both visits. Food was fab, will definitely be going back.
We have a takeaway Sunday roast most weeks and it is certainly above par. The beef is always tender, the pork and crackling spot on. Added to that is good selection of vegetables. All in all a great experience.
Looking at the reviews where one even called the landlord a "Basil Fawlty" type, we had to pay a visit to this pub of course. It's a pub for the locals with a very jolly landlord and all very enjoyable. The food was nice, the pub happy. All very pleasant on our visit, (sadly) nothing Fawlty Towers about it. 😁
