The Red Lion Inn is a traditional 17th century, thatched, English coaching inn, that has been family run since 1979, and has a warm, friendly atmosphere.
We also have an outdoor seated area and beer-garden. We proudly serve traditional lunch-time and evening meals, as well as a Sunday roast. We pride ourselves on our selection of Real Ales, beers and wines, and the guest pump is changed weekly.
Children and well behaved dogs are welcome at lunch times, however only children over 12 are allowed in the evenings.
Monthly Games Nights, Quiz Nights and Speciality Events are also held throughout the year, and information about these will be added to our website when appropriate. Alternatively you can contact us for more information.
We do not take bookings, but large groups can phone ahead to assure they can be seated comfortably.

Out of the blue we wanted to eat out but somewhere different. We pulled up in the carpark to find an old world building. We didn't book but a a table was cleared for up in the old inglenook. We had some lovely waitresses and bar maids who made us feel welcome. The food choice was large and vegetarian option was really good for my partner. The food was really nice and hot when it got to the table. The bill was presented and I was expecting it to be a lot more. Definitely a place to go again.
Great pub love it. Great food and most of all this pub has character
Didn't know what to expect for a Monday evening but it was full menu. Great pub, friendly local service, good range of beers. Food was of an excellent quality. Big thanks.
A real community pub close to the M1 so a useful stopover for good food and drinks, quickly served. Always a wide menu of home cooked food at reasonable prices. The Red Lion never disappoints.
What a great pub! Good choice of ales, including traditional bitter. Good menu and very, very tasty food. Friendly staff and quick service too
