Lovely pub, building of huge character and importance to us. We have spent some special wedding anniversaries there. My husband was a little disappointed no one recognised or remembered us! Main issue seemed to be central booking as we ended up with a twin room and not a double, booking lady possibly needed to be clearer. Food was delicious, right up our street. Highly recommend (if you don't mind a sloping floor or two).

Stayed here 2 nights. Very small cozy room needs some love really, but clean and tidy. Breakfast is outstanding. Main meal the same.. Food is very, very good here. Alex the host, thoughtfully reserved a table for us on the Friday when we arrived late..as the place was rammed... you need to book beforehand as it gets busy. Reasonable stocked bar, but it's all about food here.
Lovely local pub with board games to play while you wait for your food. The Partridge supreme was delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their meals except for the fish and chips which was rather greasy.
We arrived at the red lion shortly before out check in time but they let us check in early which was great! We had dinner in house for 3 of our nights and I can't fault the food, absolutely delicious! The breakfast that's included with our stay was also fantastic and there were choices of hot breakfast or continental! The room was very clean and tidy, not the biggest but no complaints. Staff are really happy and helpful, if we needed something, they went and got it and they have such a brilliant attitude to what they do and the guests they cater for, they also have a fun sense of humour too! There were no car parking spaces left so one of the members of staff made space for us to park. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend. Thank you all at Red Lion!!!
