Good food at a good price and staff are very friendly. Service can be a bit slow but relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make up for it. It's out go to restaurant when visiting family in the area. Car park is not for the faint hearted (or those that need lots of space to be able to park)

More than decent for a short stay. The room was nice and clean but dinner was a bit greasy. Staff were nice and attentive

We came for a meal after seeing that they had a good choice of gluten free items for my wife on the menu. Great food and very welcoming decor. The cosy restaurant area with a real flame fire, the Saddlery for afternoon tea, the long conservatory, the library lounge and the function rooms - all nicely designed and inviting. My wife thought her baked salmon with dill was one of the nicest meals she'd ever had and my seafood carbonara was to die for. Thank you

Booked for 2 nights for car show wked. Check in very easy with VERY helpful receptionists managed to change rooms so as to have outlook over the car park. Bar had good service and well kept real beer. But on the Sunday despite enquiries before hand ordered the mini carvery only after having paid was told that it was not fully available and neither of starters available. No problem decided to cancel and a have refund . No problem the other receptionists said money back on card. 36hrs later still waiting. When checking in got 2 card door access keys, after first night 1 stopped working got a new one but that cancelled the other one, got 2 new cards both would not work. Had to get manager to return from HOME to gain access then only 1 new key card available so either my wife or I had to have a key and the other had to report to receptionists for them to come and open door with master key. Not a good solution on a very busy show wked. But hey that's life will I be going to car show next year don't know if I can afford the fuel for 350 mile round trip.

My room was gorgeous/ spotless. The people were all so lovely and helpful, right down to housekeeping. The chef was brilliant. I could simply find no fault. Would recommend in a second. ****** No doubt.
