Lovely food and staff, dog friendly, Great outside space, Lovely traditional interior. What's not to like ?
Service very good, food excellent and a very nice string. Food very reasonably priced. Thank you for a good meal and drink.
Fantastic pub, you will jump in an old atmosphere when folks were not chatting or watching silly stuff on their phone. Yes it is a no mobile device pub. Warm welcome by the staff and you can spend time with nice chit chats drinking superb booze, mostly from the samuel smith brewery!
Great food and drinks with really nice staff. We had our best meals here whilst staying in Horncastle and they cater for any allergy and have Vegan choices too.
Proper Sam smiths pub, good beer and still trying to keep prices reasonable. Friendly welcome and roaring fire with the little theatre a stone's throw away. We really really like the fact that only assistance dogs are allowed in, really don't appreciate the yapping, barking and smell of dogs in pubs. Dogs don't enjoy it either. It would be great if there was a register of non dog pubs, especially those that serve food. Will always go to the Red lion if in Horncastle.
