Excellent pub for Sunday roast. Lovely friendly staff, really warm and cosy interior and absolutely delicious food. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommended

Our Christmas lunch at The Lion exuded festive charm, thanks to a beautifully decorated setting and a warm welcome from the staff. Acknowledging the dedication of the team working on Christmas Day added an appreciative touch. Despite it being a set menu, the dishes only reached an average standard. While we understood and valued the effort put forth by the staff during the holiday, the culinary aspect left us expecting more. Overall, a mixed experience where the festive ambiance and hospitality stood out more than the culinary offerings.

Wonderful food at reasonable prices. I was part of a large party and we all felt we were served well and everyone cleared their plates! The belly of pork (pictured) was scrumptious and others who had the turkey, the coley and the burger all commented on how delicious their meals were. A brilliant gem of a pub.

The attentive and friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable, ensuring that all our needs were met. The well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable and relaxing retreat after our days of exploration. In conclusion, we can't recommend the Lion at Pennard Hotel enough. If you're looking for a cozy break with a fantastic breakfast, this is the place to be. We can't wait to return in the future!

Booked in for lunch to celebrate a family gathering. The menu was first class and delicious! The service was very good checking that we were all happy - one of my family uses a wheelchair and the team made sure we were all seated comfortably without any fuss; the team also gave us time to enjoy the food - we were certainly enjoying the food! 😊 - whilst ensuring we were not left waiting. I would thoroughly recommend The Lion for their menu, service and hospitality
