This is a great local pub with a lovely welcome from staff and plenty of character. The decor is a little tired but it's clean. Great atmosphere, well worth a visit
Very friendly pub, Helpful staff member Laura, went the extra mile to find my wife a stool when busy as Newcastle were playing on the TV. Great atmosphere and music from the juke box. Recommend a visit.
I really regret having to leave only a two-star review for what has been an important community pub. Sadly the place is feeling tired now; being greeted by a distinct smell of mustiness and damp on entry does not help. This pub desperately needs the support and custom of the local community otherwise, regrettably, it will close forever. Without that patronage, the owners will never be able to make even basic changes to improve its facility. Maybe this centrally located pub on Spittal's Main Street, only 5 minutes from one of England's best and most beautiful beaches, is a perfect candidate for community ownership?
Well. Such a lovely and welcoming pub. The safety rules were all followed perfectly. The barmaid was so friendly and professional. My dog was made so welcome. Thank you for a relaxing glass of wine! Thumbs up!!
