New bar opened in Rayleigh High Street on 14th December 2014. This is a Victorian themed bar that currently offers only bottled ales such as Doom Bar, Bombardier and craft beer. Range of wines, lagers, cocktails and pitchers are also available.

When this first opened the cocktails were amazing! Mature bar staff service you too. However, he is obviously making more money from the teenagers that go to party and get rat arsed on a Friday night, by serving the cheapest alcoholic drinks. Ordered a cosmopolitan and this was made up from the alcohol that was in an unidentified glass bottles behind bar. Tasted like I was drinking a sugar loaded fruit juice. Disgusting!! You need to get bar staff in that know what they're doing regards to making drinks, and not someone who looks like a 12 year old behind the bar. Especially when you're charging £10 a cocktail!!! They're obviously working for a pittance. Until there's a major change I will not be going back. Such a shame!

Right, I want the governor of this establishment to stop charging anyone!. You will earn more money letting well established people earning money! I'm not 18 anymore and never going to pay to go in a pub/bar. And with the cost of living, you are denying anyone over 18 to have fun. Your security and bar staff are brilliant. I spent money in your gaff, and I paid to get in £6/person. Will not be paying again. Hope you are happy with your £6 quid. This place is a safe venue with great staff, great security, and if parents youngest want to come here they will be safe and enjoy. But? The greed of the owners or owner, Is ridiculous at this moment in time. Cost of living, greedy man or woman or family. I spent money but not again unless he changes his greedy outlook. I told the @Spread Eagle to do one with an Arton Senna. You have a brilliant establishment with a mixture of ages and you charge? I'm 46, and I will not pay to go into a bar pub because I'm not 18 anymore. I'm an adult with money to spend but not on your door. You have a great place. Don't take the piss
Place is not what it used to be, used to love the red door. Used to be a classy venue, not anymore. Full of 18 year olds. Venue must be desperate for custom, as they've dropped their standards of clientele and just seem to let anyone off the street in. Bar staff didn't have a clue what they're doing. Overpriced cloakroom. Everything about this Place is bad - avoid!
This place is an absolute joke the price they charge for drink preying on young drunk people.( to clarify I was not drunk and certainly not young 🤣) We went in and was charged £21.50 for 2 drinks that’s right 2 drinks!! I live local in hockley and I’ve never know anything like it only in the west end of London! I also heard from others that was moaning that they charge if you wear trainers also after 11 the price of drinks goes up so I can’t imagine what my 2 rum and cokes would cost then but we swiftly left … the place is also tiny with sticky floors so not like your paying for scenery or service I can’t see them being open very long at all. I’m still in shock 3 days later 🤦🏻♂️ STAY CLEAR.
