Originally called The Double Necked Swan, which opened in 1740, The Quorndon Fox takes the towns former name. In 1889 Quorndon became Quorn, as its name was frequently confused with another nearby town also called Quarndon. There is a square tower at the end of our gardens, it is said that it was a lookout, so that food could be prepared for approaching guests.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

We’ve eaten at the Quorndon Fox many times. I accept in recent times there has been some refurbishment done to it and prices will reflect that as in most cases. We paid £21.50 each for a Sunday roast dinner! …a trio dinner. The major disappointment was the amount of meat on the plate?? A dismal amount!?! Thinly sliced beef and turkey…not far off wafer thin??. An unbelievably small morsel of pork belly! Don’t get me wrong, the veg was cooked nice and was very tasty but I didn’t order a veggie dinner and even though it was a trio the portions were ridiculously small!?! £21.50 is a lot of money for veg with very little, next to no meat on the plate. So disappointed as I’ve spent good money in there over the years and expected more. Update 30/1 No apology!?! Just another predefined , automated response! That’s how much you’re bothered about negative feedback .
A high price paid for what I expected to be a really good New Years Eve celebration. The meal was very good and the service was excellent. We were expecting a party atmosphere and maybe something extra based on the cost. There was a duo performing (guitarist and female singer) who played very pleasantly in the background but the lack of atmosphere and no feeling of special occasion left us deciding to leave early and celebrate the turn of the year at home. If we wanted a great meal out, we would have been perfectly satisfied. However, with the cost being a lot higher than usual we did anticipate something more and left feeling somewhat disappointed.
Good atmosphere and tasty food, even on a busy Saturday night. Recommended to book in advance.
Just returned from a wonderful Sunday lunch here. Parked in the carpark which had plenty of spaces and then typed in the car reg at reception, which gives you parking until midnight. Make sure you do this as otherwise you'll get a fine as the car park is privately managed by euro car parks. Enjoyed a walk around the village, make sure to visit the memorial garden, it's delightful and only a 5-10 mins walk from the pub. The restaurant is spacious with many seating areas. The menu is wide ranging. Ordered the calamari as a starter, followed by the roast trio (although swopped out the turkey as not a fan) and the roast pork belly. Came with plenty of veg and long strips of crackling. Food was excellent, couldn't fault it in any way. The roast beef came slightly pink and very tender. Absolutely delicious. Washed it down with cloudy lemonade and passionfruit which was delightful. Highly recommended, staff are great, warm and welcoming. Toilets very clean also. Recommend booking in advance as does get very busy. A great establishment, look forward to returning.
Just got back from a lovely lunch with my mother. She had the Chicken Caeser salad, which was fresh, had plenty of chicken and she really enjoyed. I had the Prawn skewer with chips and a lovely mango salsa / slaw. Very tasty, and both generous. Lovely atmosphere, not too noisy. Excellent service. I would happily go back again.
