Great place to stay. Rooms very well appointed. Very clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Great pub. And rooms are in new area behind pub, so no noise. I'll be back. Ivor from Dublin.
Wonderful stay. Immaculately clean rooms, comfy bed, great pub, great Host and staff. Friendly locals. Highly recommended.
Great location, we were in a new room at the back of the pub. It had stairs to the bed/bath which could trouble some. Comfy bed, nice new bathroom and fresh cooked breaky. Bonus, beers at the pub the night we stayed. Great place that we're happy to recommend!
The queens head is one of my favourite local pub that I have always enjoyed going in as the bar staff are always welcoming and friendly and helpful and always a good atmosphere by everyone who I have met and remained friends and a great poor table looked after very well and live sports on and always have fresh young talent from local bands which is a great time had by all and this is why I would highly recommend this establishment 💯👌
Exceeded expectations. We knew to expect a 3 star quality but on arrival this sunk to 1-2 stars as it looks terrible. The hotel is part of a grotty dive pub filled with rowdy locals, gambling machines and live music. The hotel check in is at the bar and we had to walk our suitcases through the pub to get to the rooms, and they gave us a room on the ground floor next to the beer garden. These first few moments were filled with dread. We were crying inside. However, the room itself is actually lovely, modern, quiet and warm. Facilities in the room were great and clearly updated recently. Bathroom very modern. Bed huge (super king!) and comfortable. The TV had full sky channel selection. The noise levels were ok too, despite being 10m from the pub, they must have sound proofed the room. Breakfast was included in the price, it was basic but delicious. The hotel experience very much exceeded the initial low perceptions. Well done.
