Saw this pub served Sunday lunch so popped in while passing. A small unassuming place, very cosy and welcoming. I had the pork loin and hubby had the beef which melted in the mouth. Loads of veg, roasties, mash and yorkies...yum. I had a Creme Brulee which came to the table flaming and with the instruction 'don't blow it out, wait till it dies down and warm your hands as you wait'. A couple of minutes later the crunchy topping was perfect. Lovely engaging host. Will certainly try one of their themed food nights.

Would certainly recommend the chicken and ham pie. Fairly priced and well presented. Even on Pie Night there were alternatives on the menu. Very good shortcrust pastry. Made to feel at home. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal enjoying a delicious slow roasted lamb as a Sunday roast. It had a generous portion of everything and we left having eaten happily. Dessert was delicious and a really generous serving as well. We were warmly welcomed after a late booking with them, served kindly and attentively. The Queen's Head is small on the inside making it a cosy and friendly pub with a warm atmosphere.

Wow really wished we didn't bother. I would not of paid £5.95 for it! Let alone £11.95. One roast potato ! Overcooked broccoli that looked like it was from frozen, peas like bullets, unpeeled carrots and over cooked, burnt Yorkshire pudding, the chicken breast could fit on a dessert spoon, and absolutely no urgency or concern when I expressed my disappointment to the waitress who said she would check that we had the right size. When the manager finally came over to collect the plates, he asked if everything was OK, again I said no and explained again! He said said oh the waitress did say! (Then why not come over earlier) I was told that's the price around here (the price wasn't the problem it was the quantity and quality) when I explained that we had one roast potato each, I was made to feel like I was lying ! And rather than try to resolve, he just shrugged and walked away. The saving grace was the teaspoon of cauliflower cheese! So we skipped dessert and left (yes we did pay, but before our meal came out) It's a shame as we often go out in large groups several times a month when we find somewhere decent and its in a lovely location. However, no location outweighs the lack of quality and service dished up with a large lump of pompous attitude. For anyone that is going here I hope that was just a bad day for them. But we won't be back.

Outstanding place and setting. We also stayed in one of the 3 glamping pods for a long weekend which was brilliant, extremely clean and unique. The service given by the owner Ed and staff was also amazing and food from the pub was fantastic. Would 💯 recommend to anyone. We will definitely return for another tranquil stay. Just a side note anyone who likes Cadwell and motorcycle events just a 15min drive from the track 👍
