This smartly finished pub focuses on food but is also suitable for those just wanting a drink. The range of real ales includes up to two guests but more guests are often available around the Christmas period. Bottled foreign beers, wines and an extensive coffee choice are also offered. The menu changes to make the best use of seasonal items. Locally sourced products are utilised wherever possible. Monday hosts the fish and chip supper club, there is a Tuesday meat and potato night and a Sunday three-course lunch is available. A quiz is held on Tuesday nights.

Had a really nice meal just before Christmas. They have a new chef which seems to be working well.
Nice smart pub with excellent cask ale. Booth seating through out.
It has an attractive interior design, a pleasant atmosphere and the staff offer their service with with a smile but I was slightly disappointed with the quality of my Sunday roast, it was OK but it didn't meet the standard that I would have expected for the price. Having said that, I would certainly go there again and I strongly recommend it as a pub.
EXCELLENT, warm and welcoming with attentive staff but not overly, the Guinness was very good and the sirloin of beef with an added side of cauliflower cheese was fabulous, a great atmosphere with an open fire, give it a go, sit.back and enjoy excellent service with a smile.
We stayed in the apartments above the pub and were able to bring the food and drinks upstairs. Everything was perfect, and the quality of the food and service was above and beyond. Strongly reccomend.
