I recommend you book in advance . Friendly service , busy but not uncomfortable, outdoor booths and seating areas outside too . There is a seating area where you are able to bring your dog , don't be put off . The food is all fresh . Ample portions. We went on a Sunday ordered roast Turkey , there was pork and beef available too , or for a little extra you can have triple meat. Toby carvery offers Carvery for £13.99 on a Sunday . Queens head £16 with 4 pigs in blankets as a £1.50 supplement . Although Toby is nice ,it bears no comparison to the home cooked fresh veg and wonderful flavours , there was a medley of parsnip carrots onions , spring cabbage ,peas, mashed potatoes, beautiful roast potatoes, fresh Yorkshire puddings . You can have unlimited roast potatoes ,Yorkshire pudding and gravy ,which by the way is also delicious 😋 would highly recommend booking it seemed busy even as we were leaving which was around 5.30 ,by which time they only had pork left and had ran out of chips for other meals.

Saturday afternoon and reassuringly busy. They were more than able to cope, though. We found a table, ordered food and drink and were seated and eating very quickly. You can apply the word "lovely" to the surroundings, meal, drink, staff and atmosphere in spades. You can add price to that list too. Now we can't wait to take the rest of the family for a treat we know they'll all enjoy. Well done to a well run pub.

We are regulars at the Queens Head. Food & service is always fabulous. Have just been for Christmas Dinner and it was fantastic, food was gorgeous and atmosphere was 5*s. Mega dog friendly, which makes the experience even better with 2 Dachshunds in tow! Would definitely recommend a visit! Xx

Lovely Sunday lunch. Food great, service excellent, fair prices. Extra Yorkshire puddings and gravy are a great idea!

A pleasant meal, My guest was very pleased with the meal and service, they were attentive even though they were busy The meals were nicely presented and well cooked. When we visited there was live music outside which was very popular. A good place to take friends and family.
