After extensive refurbishment in 2012, The Queens Arms in now under local ownership and is very proud to have a ‘locally sourced’ Dales team managing the pub. Hugely popular with locals, The Queens is also an excellent base for those looking to get away from it all in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and in particular those who have a love of the great outdoors whether cycling, walking and fishing or photography and painting.
The Queens Arms is once again a hub for Littondale and the surrounding Dales with our original slate floors, open fires and wood burners, sumptuous fabrics and comfy chairs, this lovely old Inn is the place to be for a pint and a game of darts, a family Sunday lunch, afternoon tea in the beer garden after a drive across the Dale or to lose yourself and enjoy a few nights away from the hustle and bustle.
The essence of The Queens is Yorkshire Dales hospitality alongside excellent local knowledge, local ingredients, homemade food and great ale – we look forward to welcoming you to Littondale and The Queens Arms.

A simply stunning place to stay. We cycled here to celebrate my birthday, the rooms were lovely, all en-suite, our evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Michelle really looked after us, it was all very relaxed. They have their own brewery so beer was spot on . The location was stunning.
Beautiful room with fantastic touches that were great for a country hotel. We ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs which was lovely and our breakfast was great too. We would 100% go back as we loved our stay. Needed a blanket in the room. A new mattress would be beneficial as this one felt old and you could hear/feel springs.
We discovered this great pub in 2021, midway through a walk in the local area. We have returned for Sunday lunch several times since, during our twice yearly holiday to the Yorkshire Dales, and it is always fantastic quality. Great service from the friendly staff and the cosy bar area is very inviting with its open fire.
We arrived at this great little pub after a 10 mile hike in the fells. We were greeted by a helpful young girl and another lady who was taking orders. We arrived right when they were packing up and still served us with a smile. The food was superb just like the staff. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.
Just what a country pub should be. Beautiful old building, spacious beer garden with superb views and a range of proper beers on tap brewed on site. Choose between Lamb bitter, Lamb Mild or Lamb IPA - no need for trendy luminous colours and skulls here! Highly recommended
