Me and my boyfriend were out in town for a few hours and came across this little gem of a place, wow what a lovely little local pub full of so many lovely people, land lady and staff were so welcoming and attentive and the entire place was so clean and tidy even the toilets which is a bonus. They had karaoke and bingo on that evening and the hosts were amazing and polite I won the full house 37pound I never win anything to top it off I did the karaoke and did a Michael buble - flying high and what a absolute brilliant atmosphere, everyone actually stopped and really enjoyed it which singing first time was so awesome thankyou to everyone that night we had an amazing time, look forward to returning again soon 😀 x
A bit of a rough house but none the less not a bad place to visit for a quiet pint after work. Pretty decent selection of craft ales including Beavertown IPA which is one of my favourites. A relaxing pub with leather sofas
Me my wife and 2 boys 10 & 12 went in on a Saturday afternoon at 3:30, we were served and whilst having our drinks about 25 mins later we were approached by a female bar staff who was very nice and told us kids weren’t allowed in, we were allowed to finish our drinks but then had to leave, no signs on the door to make us aware prior to entry and we weren’t stopped by any other staff. Very disappointed that this pub isn’t child friendly, I’d expect this on a sat evening but not in the afternoon. Each to their own but we were looking to stay and meet friends who would have spent more Money. Oh well maybe a look into this policy which may bring more funds to the pub.
Full of kids clearly under age was told no room outside to sit but when others walk straight in no mask go straight through to the outside. Oedered drinks through app took 40 mins to arrive after asking bar staff how long our drink going to take. Cocktail tiny and tasted watered down. Never ever go here again
Great pub. Good choice of beers. Looks like they do a very nice pizza. Not tried it but it was very popular. Very large outside drinking area. Quite a bit undercover so you can get out of the sun. Love the interior of the pub. Very quirky and comfortable. Didn't feel like I was in a pub but loved it. Always call in when in Heywood, our favourite pub.
