Perfect. It was extremely busy being Sunday lunch and even though the staff were off there feet, they managed to help us find our table and attended to everything. Food was excellent and all with a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. We have found our local.
Solid spot for a Sunday roast and reasonably priced. Went for the pork, but they had chicken, beef and veggie options too alongside the usual bar menu. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was delicious- the portion size was massive- we basically rolled out after very content!
Regarding Christmas lunch at Queen Adelaide at Putney Bridge Road. Service was good enough although we have to wait for our dessert 45 min Ambience pleasant Christmas crackers table nicely decorated But food let them down sadly. I had salad for starter red lettuce and beetroot my partner had scallops he said it was good but small portion. Lunch laughable I had salad again wit upgrade of just a 3 pieces of pear . My partner had a fish which I can only assume it must to have been a kids portion. I attached pictures. Between him and our couple of friends there was not enough roasted vegetables, no bread no potatoes. Very disappointing. I had a high expectations since I have heard so much good opinions about Christmas lunch from fiends. I guess I won’t be warming up their place next year. We paid £85 per persons which I don’t think is value for money. Extra charge for wine of course and £40 for service charge. Please make sure that your portions are big enough .
Everything about this pub is great. It's quite big so there's plenty of seating and spaces for groups of 6+ They do a really fun pub quiz once a week. A lot of effort goes into this and it's a great experience. The food is wonderful, portions are large and they have a decent vegetarian selection. They have a burger shack in the garden and when that's open it's the bomb!! Great burgers!!! I think the best bit about this pub are the staff and management. A friendly but highly professional bunch. You're always made to feel welcome and they do their best to ensure you're having a good time. During the day it's quiet (see photo) so it's a great place to work and have coffee and lunch.
Excellent pub, great atmosphere - in my top 10 for sure. 10/10 Sunday Roast (we got the chicken) and a very solid portion too! No picture unfortunately as we just demolished it as soon it touched the table. About £32 pp for roast, drink and dessert. The drinks and desserts were also great. Highly recommend! 🍻
