A community microbar, opened in 2016, free from music and TV, although there is a screen used for advertising and the odd tv programme. Quality locally brewed ales are on offer plus ciders and wines.

The Gardener’s Arms is a characterful, local favourite in Middleton. Purchased from Whitbred in 1991, the pub is friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere, especially when the entertainment is in
