The Pure Drop in Ferndown is a friendly pub situated approximately six miles from Bournemouth and Poole and eight miles from the New Forest.
We offer an extensive pub food menu served all day, every day. The Pure Drop has a large pleasant beer garden for hot summer days and a roaring open fire for winter and whatever the weather, you will always receive a warm welcome from our friendly staff.
Booked a table for 8, easy parking. Lunch was ordered and served quickly, meals looked good and were hot. Very pleasant staff. Would recommend and will book again in the future. Thanks for an enjoyable lunchtime.
My friend & I have been to this pub a few times on a Sunday night for the quiz night. It's fantastic & great fun! John Lory who organises it is such a laugh & really makes it enjoyable, so much so we want to keep coming back! It's a lovely atmosphere 😊 I highly recommend the quiz night on a Sunday.
Service good. Staff kind and welcoming. Good atmosphere at weekends, with a DJ and people up dancing. Nice to see that locally. We like popping in for a drink, have only eaten as a family once and the food wasn’t great. All in all, wouldn’t eat there again…BUT for drinks and atmosphere with the kids - we rate it! Also in the summer the garden is nice place to sit and family friendly so my kids can run round there.
Absolutely love this pub. I'm a simple man. I want a friendly welcome, a well poured pint, and good food at a decent price. Having moved to the area I tried all the local pubs and have stuck with The Pure Drop. The staff are funny and friendly. They pour a great Guinness! I bring my kids here for food and we always leave happy. Such a great pub!
Christmas Day dinner. Never again!! Over an hour between courses. The pub wasn’t busy and everyone had ordered weeks in advance from a set menu as it was Christmas Day. The size of the actual dinner we were served was honestly laughable. I probably had the most out of us all with a whopping two slices of turkey. My sister in law was served what can only be described as scraps. She asked for more and was given more which is something I guess. If the meal that was served was a regular meal charged at a regular price I wouldn’t be so bothered, but the amount my father in law paid for this meant it wasn’t acceptable at all.
