"Kids allowed if eating..." You can tell its a "locals" pub and not wanting anyone else there. This is the second time I have visited and both times not overly friendly. The sign as you approach states no Kids allowed unless eating. It was a bit difficult today with my 9 week old baby who doesn't eat solids to have one of their meals. I assume they have worked out that there current "local" customers don't have any Kids. I would give zero stars if possible, farcical.
Visited on Gala Day, it was packed which is understandable and good for business. However not very welcoming by staff had to repeat my order several times as she was preoccupied with talking with her colleagues and the regulars.
Delicious Sunday roast! Very friendly and helpful staff! Comfortable place.
Sunday lunch in the sun. I have to say, this is the best Sunday beef lunch I have had in a long time. Beef melted in your mouth. Veg were cooked just to my liking, not hard like a lot of places seem to do! A good amount of gravy for your Yorkshires. It was perfect. I'm going back to try their wonderful looking burgers next.
We sat outside and had a drink here after walking in the area on a Sunday. It was quite busy inside but plenty of seats outside and the weather was decent enough!
