The Prince Albert is a hidden gem of a pub in Freith and one of the few unspoilt traditional English Country pubs left in this area. There are no televisions or juke boxes - just a warm welcome, good conversation and a great selection of Brakspears beers
Set in the Chilterns, close to Hambleden, Marlow and Henley-on-Thames, The Prince Albert dates back to the 1700s and has been a pub since 1740. It still has many of its original features, with low black beams and inglenook fireplaces. In the Winter there are warming fires and in the Summer a garden with seating to admire the views, popular with walkers and cyclists exploring the area.
Please join us at The Prince Albert where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.
A good pint in a friendly real pub. In a good area for walking. Will be back
Really nice tiny local pub. Minimum card spend £5. Prices are very reasonable. Friendly clientele and staff. No food.
We were just out walking and called in for a beer. It was tiny and was full. Felt like going into someone's living room before taking our drinks outside. Not unfriendly but felt Very much like an established group filling it. The decoration outside was spotless.
I have been visiting this pub now for over 40 years and to date, have always found it to be friendly. It has a nice family garden in which to enjoy a pint come a summers evening, and sometimes even some horses and donkeys in a field next to the garden. The pub itself has a nice relaxed sit down and chat style to it, without the need for any loud music. If you intend on visiting, tell them Cameron recommend you :-)
Good place to have an evening drink. Food not that good.
