I would love to have supported this pub after the recent turbulent times it has been though and questions about it’s future. I was in the area during the summer whilst it was still closed so was looking forward to visiting now it was open again. Dogs no longer allowed anywhere. It’s a long time since I’ve encountered a rural pub where dogs aren’t allowed. What a shame.

We ordered a pizza and dirty fries from here whilst on holiday. I have to say it was some of the best food we have ever had. We have travelled a lot and ordered food from many places and this is by far the best. I cant rate this place highly enough. Yes it looks a little run down from the outside but I would rather it look like this and the food and service be first class which it is. The staff are welcoming friendly and attentive. Not sure you could ask for more. Thank you

Despite its slightly shabby exterior the staff are very pleasant and attentive. The menu is extensive so plenty to choose from. The beef curry came with plenty of beef and rice with a large poppadom. The Thai chicken again was full of meat and vegetables, all very filling. The pizza's are large and tasty, a box for leftovers is offered. A satisfying meal with real ale at a good price. One worth stopping at if passing.
