About us

We have a range of 8 perfectly kept real ales. Kinver First Class Stamp and Hobson’s Mild are the regulars, with the First Class Stamp brewed especially for us. We then have 6 ever changing guest beers from micro-breweries around the country. We are, however, renowned for our huge range of foreign bottled beers which currently stands at 432. When we opened in December 2011 we had a range of 50 bottled beers but have regularly increased this to meet demand. We now have, by far, the largest range in Birmingham and one of the largest in the country.

We stock beers from Belgium, Germany, France, Norway, Holland, Austria and the USA to name but a few. Our range covers virtually every beer style from the palest golden lager, through fruit beers to the darkest porters and stouts.

If beer is not your thing we also have the largest selection of traditional ciders and perries in Birmingham with a regularly changing range of 13.

We don’t serve food at the Post Office Vaults but you are more than welcome to bring your own, we will provide the plates and cutlery. If you are looking for something more substantial to eat why not try our sister pub the Woodman on New Canal Street, only 15 a minute walk away. A full menu is available including a renowned range of homemade burgers.

I really enjoy this quirky bar. I love the fact it's the old post office vaults. It has a great selection of beers on tap and in the fridges. I enjoyed the German beers in bottles on this visit. Definitely worth a visit for its uniqueness and beer selection.

Simple and unpretentious bar, the main attraction being the amazing selection of beers available, particularly continental. The clientele are pretty much all there for the same thing, and as a result, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Unable to rate food as none served, although I believe that you can bring your own. Good selection of bar snacks ( crisps and nuts etc) are available.

My wife told me about this place and I was reluctant to go in. I take it back. What a great place to go in and have a drink. Nice little place, tucked away, with a mixture of different walks of life coming into this joint. Highly recommended it to anyone!

If you want the best belgium beer in bham at a decent price, this is the place, Just feel a little awkward as it was no music and not very connecting staff members but the reason we were there, it was the beer, so overall, nice to taste again my delicious brussels beers. Definitely a must if you're a beer fan.

Great little find right near New Street Station. Good vibe and atmosphere and a nice selection of ales available. Excellent display of beer bottles around the bar on shelving and the wifi password made me chuckle.
