Standing just outside the former British Rail station this large building was built at the turn of the century but burnt down in 1920. Rebuilt exactly as before. Large lounge bar and restaurant. Garden with swings.
We spent a night here on a weekend trip from London. The rooms are very fresh and spacious and the hotel is well heated. There was a misunderstanding with the booking through a third party website and the manager was lovely, very apologetic and more than made up for it. Indian food served at the restaurant was very nice. We had a lovely stay thank you.
Everything was perfect. Our carriage was so pretty, well thought out, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Breakfast was amazing, Everything you could wish for, served fresh, hot and with a smile Staff were so lovely, and nothing was too much trouble from start to finish Would not hesitate to go again, and recommend to all

The room was spotless and spacious, boasting a massive bathroom with a fantastic shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. On top of the great cask ale selection, the restaurant offered an excellent Indian menu, serving as a delightful bonus.
Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the welcoming and helpful staff. They eagerly provided us with a tour, highlighting important amenities and tips for our visit. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor extended to the waitstaff, who provided excellent service. The delicious food and the convenient presence of a TV in our room further enhanced our experience.
