Gold: A Culinary Gem on Portobello Road - A Five-Star Blend of Cozy Ambiance, Delicious Simplicity, and Exceptional Service Gold is a gem nestled in the iconic Portobello Road, offering a delightful and cozy dining experience across its three floors. The charming exterior with tables both in the front and garden room sets the stage for a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an excellent spot for a casual glass of wine. The restaurant exudes a cool neighborhood bar vibe, and its bohemian decor, coupled with an open kitchen, adds to the overall allure. On my second visit, I noted a marked improvement in the dining experience over the years. The menu, though humble, showcases seasonal plates prepared with minimal processing, often utilizing an open wood fire for a distinct flavor profile. The quality of the food is commendable, with a focus on simplicity and deliciousness. The variety of dishes enjoyed, including the standout chicken nduja and the award-worthy cabbage, left a lasting impression. The commitment to accommodating diverse tastes is evident in the well-designed menu. The service at Gold is exceptional, marked by professionalism and attentiveness at every table. The staff's focus adds to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Whether it's a date or a gathering with friends, Gold is a perfect choice. I would confidently award it a five-star rating, strongly recommending it for those seeking a memorable culinary experience in a relaxed and charming setting.

Absolutely loved sitting at the kitchen bar and watching the chefs work. The Riviera Spritz I had was one of the best cocktails I’ve tasted - super complex and balanced and such lovely presentation. I came for lunch so I ordered the Wood Grilled Violino Squash and was soooo happy I did. It was the perfect filling and comforting plant-based meal for a rainy Friday afternoon. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Notting Hill area.

The decorations in the restaurant was amazing, make you relax and can enjoy good food, love how they avoid direct lighting but use small lights and candle lights to make the environment in warmer tone. The staff tell us that they designed the menu for sharing so it’s a fantastic opportunity to ask large group of friends come here and share many plates. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we went there to celebrate birthday and they helped us prepared the cake. The dishes are refreshing, I have not try this type of food in that area yet, all the dishes are creative but with authentic and organic flavors. Make me feel good having it, nothing over seasoned. They have private dinning room that you can book and in the toilet there were one dipper changing table to use. Which is baby friendly.

The food was absolutely delicious and in a beautiful space. It has amazing options for vegetarians or pescatarians. Everyone was extremely kind and it was nice to eat partially outside amongst the plants

Ambience of the restaurant is really nice. It is like a laid back beach club within centeal London. Service was really good as well as they took time to explain the menu. Food was good to average Chargrilled corn 4/5 Mushroom on toast 4.5/5 - highlight of the lunch Ravioli 2.5/5 - bland Cabbage 3.5/5, the anchovies in the shade was overpowering Sweet potato 3/5 Lemon tart 4.5/5 , really fresh and light
