Lovely restaurant close to Kings Cross but far enough from the crowds. We enjoyed our brunch here, the eggs Benedict and Croque Madame were divine. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place for good food.

Loved this place from start to finish. The menu, the food, the ambience, the large tables so you don't feel cramped, the service. All fantastic. The wine is a bit over priced (bottles start at £42 I think) but no other complaints. When the bill arrived we'd been over charged a couple of £ so I pointed it out. They fixed it immediately, gave us a discount, AND a free drink each. We had the sourdough bread with onion butter (wow!), the octopus, the beef cheeks in red wine, and the chickpea chips (phenomenal!!!), and the lavender creme brulee for dessert which was really good. Seriously, try the chickpea chips!

we recently got £150 in vouchers for porte noire, so went down for a friday night meal. the restaurant is in one of the old gas containers next to coal drops yard, the filled in containers look like something out of star wars (not a compliment), but once we found the entrance, the restaurant was lovely. we went for: charcuterie sourdough cod fregola lamb belly chickpea chips truffle mash croquettes soy & sesame tenderstem matcha cheesecake pistachio ice cream & chardonnay the service was excellent and the food didn't take long at all. our server let us know the chef wasn't happy with the lamb belly, so gave as a free glass of wine whilst they cooked another! the lamb belly dish was my fave, the potato's and veg with it were banging. the chickpea chips were great too and i loved the soy & sesame tenderstem which were so flavourful. this isn't somewhere we'd normally go (thank you voucher), but i'm very glad we did. lovely food

A hidden gem and probably the best restaurant in Coal Drops Yard. All dishes are unique and delicious, especially the chickpea chips! A big selection of wine and the staff are very happy to help you choose something to your taste.

I have always loved this place because of the good wine, pretty interior and lovely ambience. Came back again tonight at 10pm and had a glass of wine with a friend and just to take in the atmosphere of this place. They do wine on tap as well, and are surprisingly really good! Lighting is perfect for a quiet and chilled evening, and the interior is just so chic. Absolutely loved it - and would definitely come back for some Saturday/Sunday brunch in the future. Oh, the staff members are all so friendly and nice, got chatting to a few of them in our 1 hour in the restaurant. They also have a little wine shop section and you can also sign up for wine tasting. Needless to say, I will be back. Highly recommend.
