This is the £4.50 Sourdough Garlic Bread. Not sure how this qualifies but don’t worry when you complain you will get threatened for harassing the staff.
We came for Sunday roast after visiting the town, it was lovely and they kept checking if everything was right. They also allow dogs! As Spanish we got the Madri beer :)
What an incredible & lucky find the Pont Y Pair Inn has been, we happened to be in the area and stepped in side to ask about dinner… three courses and a great night later, our whole family can heartily recommend the food and the folks there!!! The chicken starter, the burgers and the puddings all exceeded our expectations, plus it was great value for money!
We came on a Monday evening for dinner. The building looks lovely lit up at night outside - we had high hopes, which were soon to be dashed as we realised this is another under-staffed bar. We ordered quite quickly for a good ranged menu. It took over 45mins for the food to arrive, which came without a smile or apology for the wait. However, the food was good, but nothing spectacular. Perhaps a step up from your average Weatherspoons. Also, the food hygiene rating at the time is still a 2/5 - with the last inspection in 2022. It's a pity that the good food and stunning building was let down by the limited staff during the night.
Beautiful building, been renovated recently and the new owners seem lovely people. Stayed one night on friday, booked walking in and the room we got was great with a view of the brook. Was out for most of the day exploring the local hills and lakes, coming back to a hot shower and meal was just what we needed. For the price it's perfect, will stay here again next time we're around for sure.
