We parked up in MH and booked a meal on line. Had a wonderful meal with lovely service. It looked very nice but didn't see the rooms
Under new management. Had been highly recommended. No welcome despite booking. Shelves behind bar poorly stocked. Asked for 2 glasses house red. Came back with one. "It's all we have". It was sour and sent back. Meal was good. Felt sorry for the waitress. Manager walked past our table 3x and made no eye contact. Such a shame. Spectacular location. Chose our cottage because of the pub. Had booked a table every night. Once was enough.
I was staying on Eriskay and came here for dinner when the Eriskay pub was fully booked. The service and food were both outstanding, and I was treated as a valued customer. I would highly recommend the scallops with apple and cauliflower purée for starters, then the chicken balmoral for main. The bar staff were very friendly too. Highly recommended.
We arrived at the Polochar Inn after a long day car trip from Stornoway. A stunning view and an ancient standing stone was waiting for us there! The atmosphere inside was very cozy and warm. Great and delicious local food. The manager was very kind and helpful. Everything was so perfect that we came back the day after. Thank you again to Mr. Roberto and all the staff! Michele and Sofia
After a long days walking it felt literally like reaching the Inn on the edge of the earth! We only planned to stop for a drink, but took a look at their new menu and decided to eat. We were not disappointed! - the meal, drinks and friendly service was all superb, not to mention the views. - Recommended, also doggy friendly. Wish you all the best for the season!
