Arrived at 12.30 without a reservation luckily they had a table free as it was already busy. The food was good but had a bit of a wait as it was busy. Will definitely be going back.
The homemade lasagne was delicious! Proper quality meat filling (no grisly bits!), lovely gooey cheese top, really nice side salad (thanks for substituting rocket for normal salad). Met for a business lunch, not local I didn't realise this was close to the HS2 works. Glad we booked a table as it was packed! A mix of locals and contractors I'd say. Only just managed to get a car park space! So, do book in advance. Friendly service and just a little slower due to their business. Nice sparkly lights inside and pretty good music too!
Popped in for a quick lunch. What a fab find. Very busy, will book ahead next time. Fortunately there was a spare table for us, others sadly weren't so lucky. Service was spot on and the food awesome, with great quality ingredients, good portions & super value for money (see photos). Definitely recommend, do book in advance. Loved it & will be back. What a gem of a find. Lovely location by the canal and a 5 minute walk from our camp site. Very warm welcome, and I would recommend booking beforehand as we went at 5 pm and it was already starting to get busy. The kids' menu looks pretty standard until it arrives at the table. My daughter had the bolognese. Which came with a good a fair amount but also came with salad and the most delicious garlic bread. This was not your standard kids' meal it was so much better. My son had a pizza and said it was amazing. My husband had the roast chicken, and it was cooked to protection with most soft meat. I went for the lasagne as I had seen it in another review, and I was not disappointed. I have to say we will definitely be returning
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere! The sunday roast was beautiful and very well cooked, very generous portions! The white choc cheesecake was also amazing!! Will deffo be returning to try other options. Only thing I'd say is that the service was a little on the slow side.
