Went for sunday lunch. 3 adults. The place was almost empty. Initially it seemed good, but as a previous review mentions, there were no adults supervising the young staff, who seemed more intent on all congregating at one end of the bar, or dancing with each other. This place used to be excellent but I won't return.

A friend and I wanted to try somewhere new for a change, so decided to try The Plough & Harrow at Drake's Broughton. We both had a carvery they gave a choice of 3 sizes small, medium or large we both had medium. There were 3 choices of meat which was ok, but very disappointed with the choice of not many different vegetables. So after the disappointment of the carvery we decided to try a dessert which also turned out to be a disappointment. The place itself was lovely.

When we got there the first member of staff who was nice and friendly sat us right by the cold fire exit door even though there was loads of tables free everywhere else which i thought was weird so I asked to move. We were moved into a gorgeous room with big chandeliers on the ceiling and it was really festive with all the fairy lights. I couldn't understand why we weren't offered this area first. There was only 1 other group in there. The food was delicious, and lots of choice, including vegetarian options. The 2nd girl that served us wasn't the cheeriest but we still really enjoyed it. We love a rustic dog friendly pub with lots of character and even though it not the cheapest, it's definitely worth the money, thanks!

Wonderful family lunch. 3 carvery which was served with generous portions of meat and no small slivers often served in carveries! 1 vegetarian option of mushroom pie, served with a separate vegetarian gravy boat. The desert menu was excellent but none of us could mange it this time round!

Went for carvery on Easter Sunday and was not disappointed, carvery had a good range of meat and vegiterian options, as well as a really good range of vegetables. All of it was hot and looked / tasted fresh. The kids menu had enough on it to feed the kids and they were happy. While we did not eat off the standard menu we did look at it and it had a good range of options all along the lines of what you would expect of a gastro pub. We will go back and try the normal menu although a mid week car wry is offered.
