Absolutely ruined Christmas ! Table wasn’t ready at the designated time, had us waiting 45mins in the rammed bar area in everybody’s way and 2 young children complaining they were hungry. Finally got us a table which they hadn’t even bothered to dress in the furthest corner away, nothing about the area screamed out Xmas it was just like a normal busy Sunday, we didn’t even have cutlery when the kids starters arrived. After complaining they finally came over with cutlery and the girl was handing it all to me one by one to set the table myself by which time the adult starters arrived and was dumped on the table next to us for us to have to get ourselves once we’d set the table. By the time the children’s main meals came (1.5hrs in ) the carvery queue was horrific and at least 20 mins wait time,we was expected to leave the kids eating alone whilst we queued for our own. This was totally unacceptable and not the way we wanted to spend Xmas, it certainly wasn’t £170 standards, I sat at the table crying waiting for the children to eat their mains whilst my other half demanded a refund to which they came with a gift voucher- I don’t think so,I’ll never step foot in a farmhouse inn again after this experience so we all got up and left, I took the children to the car whilst the other half finally got a full refund on his card ,thanks to pine tree Xmas was ruined and we had no Xmas dinner and a full refund. Anyone that books here for Xmas don’t say I didn’t warn you ! We booked last year and it was a fab experience this year it had gone to the pits !

Popped by for a Pub Lunch on Christmas Eve, nice big place, plenty of seating, and good selection of dishes to pick from. They have a carvery menu, which I've been told is the popular option. On this visit, we had Fish and Chips, and the Hunter Chicken. Both were sizeable and enjoyable, and didn't need to wait too long after ordering. Will look to revisit and check out the carvery menu.

We went for our Christmas dinner early this year. Had three course dinner booked in advance. Food etc was great but it was the customer service that really stood out. Our waitress Charlotte really took good care of us from start to finish and ensured our booking went off without a hitch. I really wanted to tip Charlotte but she graciously accepted a good review in exchange so here it is. Well done Charlotte for taking care of us and keep up the great work.

brilliant place, & I keep going back - even when things go wrong, they get it right ✅️ 👍 Wasn't too hungry so had the set 2courses for around £8, ordered a small main (fish & chips) and a dessert (choc brownie). Came to be served dessert, only to be told they didn't actually have what I had ordered (must be popular), but even so, they we're amazing & said as an apology I could choose whatever dessert I liked, even though it wouldn't normally be included in the set 2 for menu. Great customer service and the right way to do things! Thank you, and well done again pine tree farm.

We had a lovely carvery and desserts. Staff very helpful and attentive.Carol my special waitress came over and loved &the Turkish delight I had bought her from Turkey. She does a wonderful job collecting money for McMillan. Danielle was lovely carving the meat. Kelly even though on her way home still took time to take a booking from us for next month. It’s a lovely day with the man on piano bingo and quiz and of course a little dancing to sweet Caroline . "
