About us

The Pigs Nose Inn is a Traditional English Pub with character and the addition of being Devon's most southerly independent live music venue. Located in a village of East Prawle, not far from Kingsbridge. The pub overlooks the charming village green where you can sit down in the summer days and enjoy a Ploughman's Lunch or pub sandwiches. On occasional evenings we hold live music nights and events in our adjoining venue room with performances from Atomic Kitten, Stanton Warriors, The Correspondents, Damon Albarn, The Animals and The Boomtown Rats to name a few. Where you can dance the night away to a verity of different styles of live music.

We are proud winners of CAMRA local award with a selection of local and popular ales poured directly from casks behind the bar. Serving tantalising tasty ales from South Hams Brewery, Otter Brewery and during the holidays we have a guest ale.

The pub dates back more than 200 years, during which in its history had been a Victorian hotel and a smugglers inn used to 'store the booty' from the various shipwrecks around the coast then being changed slightly to a petrol station when cars started appearing.

What a delightful Pub ! We holidayed at the superb Leonards Cove in September 23 & January 24 , both times popping in to the Pig`s Nose at lunchtimes after walking either side of the Beautiful Gammon Head . In 2023 we had gammon , egg & chips - Wow ! top quality , perfectly cooked , nice local beers , friendly efficient Staff . In January we visited on a Monday , not realising hot food was limited on Mondays , but we enjoyed a gorgeous , savoury leek & cauliflower soup with bread & butter , with the moreish Devon Pride Ale. A proper old pub - quirky , friendly, with a very polite , efficient Person at the bar. looking forward to visiting again on future holidays.

A cracking pub, we came to East Prawle on holiday and this was one on the list. We made it along and it was just perfect. The staff we super friendly and chatty. The food was great (The steak burger and fish chips were delicious and very very filling). And the place is incredibly cosy inside. If you’re near the area, get yourself down 👍

I came to this pub years ago for a quiet pint, and this time we came for a gig. On Saturday night, the place was busy with friendly people and cute dogs 🐶 - the bar staff only took card which was fine for us. They had birra Moretti ( draught ) andthatchers Katy (bottled) 🍎 which was great - the drinks are a little bit expensive (£6+ a pint) but it is the only pub in the area so I can understand why. The band were great and the sound quality was good 👍

Fantastic old inn just on the village square. Choice of a few ales. Friendly chatty staff and locals. Marvelous ambience. Pool table, dartboard and arcade machine. Good lighting with tasteful tunes on low. Interesting gents toilets. Very highly recommended 🍻

Or so the saying goes, but there is nothing mysterious about the rise of the fabulously original entertainment phenomenon that is - Oh My God! It’s The Church. Quite simply they have had a monumental few years traversing the globe conducting their all singing, all dancing, party church service to hundreds of thousands of gleeful sinners. Recently you may have caught them closing ShangriHell at Glastonbury or found them sharing stages all over the world with the likes of Mark Ronson, Idles, Robyn, Fat White Family, Beth Ditto, Craig Charles and many, many more. After building up a large fanbase of “Missionaries” mainly through word-of-mouth after stellar festival performances and several wild tours, soon the band were disrupting the airwaves with their truly joyous hymns with inaugural record ‘Genesis’ providing the first glimpse inside the Oh My God! It's The Church Universe. Wildly original singles such as ‘PREACHIN’, and '(Where Did You Get Those) Shoes?' achieved significant airtime on national radio, with the accompanying music videos winning several industry awards alongside fantastic reviews both in the UK and North America. The band was also the first to score 11/11 with a debut single on BBC Introducing’s New Music Revue. Now, emerging from the global pandemic hotly tipped as the next Alternative breakthrough artist, Oh My God! It's The Church are back with their second record 'Revelations'. Scheduled for release in April 2022, the record's lead singles 'Kiss My ApocaLips' and 'Welcome To The Congregation' have enjoyed wide airplay across the BBC, including several features and interviews on BBC6 Music. Having been likened to Tenacious D and Flight of the Conchords and Nominated as ‘Live Act of the Year’ by the AIF Festival Congress, this hugely entertaining act are starting to turn heads in the TV world too with several approaches for pilots about the Reverend and his hail Marys and rumoured big screen adaptations on the horizon. With further releases due throughout 2022, plus huge festival performances, and their biggest ever headline tour, Oh My God! It’s The Church are ready once again to bring their own brand of Salvation to the nation. In a world which increasingly feels like it’s falling apart and rife with division, Oh My God! It’s The Church are the medicine your soul has been craving. Fronted by insane Pastor The Right Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson, he and his wild collective combine to create a fresh live act which has taken the UK by storm, and is fast becoming the hottest ticket in town whether gracing the Main Stages at major music festivals, hosting one of their infamous underground club nights or thrilling revellers at the most exclusive parties on the planet. Prepare for the incomprehensible and get ready to fall in love. Welcome to a new musical religion for the 21st Century, one which brings the masses together, and baptises them in Absinthe.
