Ordered food via app. Nearly 10 mins later we informed they don't have 1 of the meals we ordered and the guy walks away another good 6 minutes before we even get the drinks we ordered then a team leader appears to ask about the refund so was told obviously need a refund for the meal we can't have including the added extra. Food appears wirh part of unavailable meal and kid is confused as to why we don't want the added side obviously takes some kind of intelligence to understand why it was being sent back and sadly tonight they seem to be lacking intelligent staff. The food that did arrive was overcooked and wasn't as nice as the same dish is at other spoons which on theory should taste pretty much the same everywhere as its either grilled deep fried or microwaved so can't be hard to get wrong. Very disappointing visit

On a more concerning note, the staff at this Wetherspoons location lack basic welcoming and interaction skills. Their demeanor is notably unwelcoming, with zero smiles and instances of pointed, disrespectful treatment. It feels as though customers are treated as if they are beneath the staff, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Adding to the frustration is the frequent absence of stirring sticks for coffees and toothpicks. These are basic amenities that should be readily available, and their consistent absence reflects poorly on the establishment’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement. Enhancing staff training for better customer service and addressing the ongoing issues with the coffee machine and amenities would significantly enhance the overall customer experience at Wetherspoons.

No problem to try before you buy. Served by a friendly team member, answering questions about popular beers of the day. I enjoyed a good real ale on the terrace.
Decent food and fairly priced. Good vegetarian selection. Friendly staff and fast service. Covid measures in place like screens and ordering from table using the app if you want. Can get very busy, which shows how popular it is, but does have quieter times when its good to sit with a meal and a pint.
